Description

Our client, a financial services company based in Boston's Financial District, is hiring a Financial Analyst to support investment reporting, budgeting, and corporate financial planning. This is an in-office role with hybrid flexibility, embedded within a team that manages portfolios across institutional and private clients.

The analyst will work directly with senior finance leadership to build financial models, analyze performance against forecasts, and contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting cycles. The role requires comfort with both quantitative analysis and written communication, as outputs are regularly presented to senior stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly variance reports comparing actuals to budget and prior periods
  • Support preparation of board and investor presentations with accurate financial data
  • Analyze portfolio performance metrics and flag material trends to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate close processes and reconciliations
  • Assist in annual budget planning and multi-year financial projections
  • Respond to ad hoc data and analysis requests from internal stakeholders
  • Maintain data integrity across financial reporting systems and spreadsheets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or investment reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling
  • Experience with financial reporting platforms such as Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior audiences
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and financial statement analysis
  • CFA candidate or CPA certification is a plus
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
