    Description

    Virginia Family Services (VFS) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Clerk to support daily administrative, financial, and operational functions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth office operations, financial accuracy, compliance, and facility management across our offices.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Financial & Administrative Duties:
    • Manage Accounts Payable and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
    • Perform accounting transaction coding and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
    • Maintain and reconcile company petty cash.
    • Organize, track, and log all incoming bills and financial documentation.
    • Assist with maintaining liability insurance documentation and renewals.
    Operational & Compliance Oversight:
    • Monitor and track lease agreements and key contract deadlines.
    • Maintain and renew business licenses and required documentation.
    • Support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
    Facilities & Asset Management:
    • Oversee maintenance coordination for offices and recovery homes.
    • Manage fleet operations, including vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, and documentation.
    Systems & Reporting:
    • Utilize QuickBooks Online for financial tracking and reporting.
    • Support payroll and HR functions using ADP.
    • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems using Microsoft Office Suite.

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting, office management, or operations.
    • Strong working knowledge of:
      • QuickBooks Online.
      • ADP (Workforce Now or similar).
      • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Requirements:
    • Must successfully pass a credit check.
    • Must pass a background check.
    • Reliable transportation preferred.

    Preferred Experience:
    • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit settings.
    • Familiarity with lease management and vendor coordination.
    • QuickBooks Online Software and Accounting Principals.
