Are you an experienced Business Analyst looking to make a significant impact in the public sector? The Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a skilled professional to join our agile/hybrid development team. Located in the vibrant city of Tallahassee, FL, this role offers the opportunity to work directly with subject matter experts, business offices, and technical teams to shape strategic and operational needs into actionable business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user needs assessments and document results following departmental methodologies.
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to develop technical specifications and business rules.
- Support testing activities, including regression, functional, and system integration testing.
- Assist in business process redesign to support modernization initiatives.
- Prepare business cases and feasibility studies for remediation and modernization planning.
- Analyze and summarize complex data into actionable insights for leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute.
- Minimum of five years of experience in business process analysis and requirements documentation.
- Proficiency in process mapping/modeling tools such as Visio.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
Preferences
- Certification in Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Owner (CSO), CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMP, or ITIL.
- Knowledge of Rules 60GG-1 – 60GG-5, Florida Administrative Code.
- Experience with data migration practices and quality assurance tools.
- Exposure to Power BI and Azure DevOps.
