Our client's growing family law practice is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of family law experience and be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a busy caseload from inception through trial.

Responsibilities


  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, enforcement actions, and related proceedings
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents
  • Prepare and organize case files, exhibits, and trial notebooks
  • Manage case deadlines, court filings, and attorney calendars
  • Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings
  • Review and summarize financial records, tax returns, bank statements, and other supporting documentation
  • Communicate directly with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom support as needed
  • Maintain accurate case management records and ensure timely follow-up on all matters
Qualifications


  • 5-10 years of family law paralegal experience required
  • Strong knowledge of Texas family law procedures and court rules
  • Experience handling a high-volume caseload in a law firm environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
  • Paralegal certificate preferred but not required based on experience
Preferred Experience


  • Trial preparation and courtroom support
  • Drafting complex family law pleadings and discovery
  • Reviewing financial documents and preparing asset summaries
  • E-filing experience in Texas state courts
