Description

Adams & Martin Group is working with a prominent Family Law practice to identify a Family Law Legal Assistant to support its growing legal team. This temp-to-hire or direct hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced family law professional who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing active caseloads while supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Attorney & Administrative Support

* Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to Family Law attorneys
* Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, hearings, meetings, and appointments
* Work closely with attorneys to ensure matters progress efficiently and deadlines are met
* Track case activity and provide ongoing litigation support
* Communicate professionally with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel
* Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and exceptional client service at all times

Document Preparation & Filing

* Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, declarations, subpoenas, and discovery requests and responses
* Coordinate court filings, service of process, and compliance with court rules and deadlines
* Ensure filings are timely and comply with county-specific and local court requirements
* Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in all documents and filings

Case & File Management

* Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
* Gather, organize, and manage records, evidence, and supporting documentation
* Assist attorneys with ongoing case organization and litigation support needs
* Track deadlines and ensure all critical dates are properly calendared and communicated

Trial & Litigation Support

* Assist with trial preparation, mediations, settlement conferences, exhibits, and trial binders
* Coordinate litigation-related logistics and document preparation
* Support attorneys throughout the case lifecycle from filing through resolution

Qualifications

* Minimum 3+ years of Family Law legal assistant experience required
* Strong experience with e-filing and court filing procedures required
* Knowledge of local court rules and familiarity with out-of-county filing requirements preferred
* Experience with Clio Manage preferred
* Experience with legal software such as Timeslips, Adobe, Abacus, or similar systems preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams
* Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
* High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
* Strong follow-through and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Schedule

* Monday through Friday
* 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation

* Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000+, depending on experience
* Equivalent hourly range: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
* More senior candidates may be considered above the listed range based on qualifications
