Event Chef

MileHighCook hires event chefs to cook private dinners in Mountain West homes, ranches, and vacation rentals. No restaurant hours, no lines, and no nights you didn't agree to. You take the events that fit your schedule and pass on the ones that do not.

What the work is

• Private dinners, small weddings, retreats, and corporate dinners, usually 6 to 30 guests
  

• You cook in the client's kitchen, plate, serve, and leave it cleaner than you found it
  

• The menu is set with the client before the date, so you walk in knowing exactly what you are cooking
  

• Groceries are covered, either shopped ahead for you or reimbursed
  

• Most events run 5 to 8 hours door to door; most are evenings and weekends
  

Pay

• Minimum $150 per event, flat
  

• You keep 100 percent of the tip
  

• Paid within 5 Business Days
  

• Groceries are the only reimbursed expense
  

Who we hire

• 3 or more years in professional kitchens, or private chef experience
  

• Comfortable running an event solo or with one server, off-site, without a brigade behind you
  

• Your own knives and reliable transportation to client addresses
  

• Food handler card or ServSafe, or willing to get one
  

• Calm and easy to talk to with guests standing in the kitchen

• Contractor agreement, then you are on the roster and start getting event offers
  

This is 1099 independent contractor work, booked event by event. We are building a bench, not filling one shift.

Colorado: Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Telluride, Crested Butte, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, Estes Park, Durango

Utah: Park City, Deer Valley, Sundance, Salt Lake City, Provo, Moab, St. George

Arizona: Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Sedona, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Tucson, Prescott

Wyoming: Jackson Hole, Teton Village, Cody, Sheridan

We book events in all 30. Tell us on your application which ones you can drive

to, and we will only send you events in those.
