Tesla is seeking Engineering Technicians to join our Cell Manufacturing production team. You will be part of a production team that supports the development of Cell Manufacturing technology and Tabless operations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to both process development and equipment improvement. Support engineering activities including process and equipment validations, yield improvement DOEs, quality validations, and NPI trials
Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing processes using data querying and analysis skills
Write and update Manufacturing Instructions (MI), and help to develop, maintain, and implement process changes, change alerts, and control plans
Record production issues and trial runs with high attention to detail, communicating exact problems and outcomes in comprehensive yield reports
Train and provide leadership for production associates and manufacturing technicians on equipment operation, process troubleshooting, and processes
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to sustain key process metrics and establish a feedback loop for continuous improvement
Proactively identify gaps and lead DMAIC projects to improve yield, quality and drive issue resolution from root-cause analysis to countermeasure implementation
Degree in Engineering Technology discipline or equivalent experience
1-2+ years of hands-on experience in a production or manufacturing setting
Ability to analyze data, interpret dashboards, and drive actions to resolve issues
Experience with roll-to-roll manufacturing, laser ablation, or welding applications is a plus
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse functional groups
Strong passion for problem-solving and continuously improving quality standards
Knowledge of Lithium-Ion battery manufacturing, SQL, Python, Minitab, or JMP is a plu

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
