Electromechanical Technician

Sepragen Corporation is seeking an experienced and hands-on Electromechanical Technician to support the assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical equipment and systems used in our manufacturing operations.

The Electromechanical Technician will work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to assemble and troubleshoot equipment involving mechanical components, electrical systems, pumps, motors, valves, piping, sensors, control panels, and related components.

The ideal candidate has a strong combination of electrical and mechanical skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and experience working from engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electromechanical equipment and systems.
Perform mechanical assembly of equipment, components, subassemblies, pumps, motors, valves, piping, tubing, fittings, and related hardware.
Install and terminate electrical wiring, cables, sensors, switches, motors, control panels, and related electrical components.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment to identify root causes of equipment or component failures.
Use multimeters and other diagnostic and testing equipment to identify electrical faults and verify proper system operation.
Perform equipment testing, startup, calibration, and functional checks according to engineering specifications and established procedures.
Work closely with Engineering to support equipment builds, modifications, upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.
Assist with prototype builds and the transition of new or modified equipment into manufacturing.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems.
Document testing results, equipment repairs, modifications, maintenance activities, and identified issues.
Follow established work instructions, quality procedures, safety requirements, and applicable manufacturing standards.
Identify and communicate opportunities to improve equipment reliability, product quality, assembly processes, and workplace safety.
Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or a closely related technical field is required.
Previous hands-on experience assembling, testing, maintaining, or troubleshooting electromechanical equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or equipment-production environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Experience working with pumps, motors, valves, sensors, switches, relays, wiring, piping, and related mechanical and electrical components.
Proficiency using multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to systematically diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
Ability to accurately follow engineering drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and established procedures.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and workplace safety.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience assembling or servicing process equipment, filtration systems, separation equipment, or similar industrial systems.
Experience working in an ISO 9001 or other quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting prototype equipment, new product introduction, or custom equipment builds.
Familiarity with basic control systems and instrumentation.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform hands-on assembly and troubleshooting activities for extended periods.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Ability to lift and move equipment, materials, and components as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and moving mechanical components.
Work Environment

This position primarily works in Sepragen’s manufacturing and assembly environment and requires regular interaction with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel. The position may involve exposure to machinery, electrical equipment, moving mechanical components, and moderate workplace noise. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as appropriate.
