    Job Summary
    We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to support enterprise engineering processes and tools focused on Requirements Management (RM), Design and Process FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), APQP, and Control Plans. This role will serve as a business lead for engineering tool administration, process governance, continuous improvement, issue resolution, and user support.
    The consultant will work closely with product engineering teams, IT organizations, software vendors, and end users to improve tool functionality, process alignment, data quality, and user adoption. The role will also support Power BI dashboards and analytics designed to improve visibility into product development performance and process effectiveness.
    Responsibilities
    • Support the functionality, performance, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise tools used for Requirements Management, FMEA, and Control Plans.
    • Administer and support engineering processes and associated software tools.
    • Gather stakeholder and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities and support prioritization of tool and process enhancements.
    • Coordinate project activities, track deliverables, monitor risks and issues, and communicate project status to business stakeholders and IT partners.
    • Collaborate with internal IT teams and external software vendors to troubleshoot issues, validate solutions, support software releases, and deploy approved enhancements.
    • Lead or support troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations, and user support activities.
    • Document business and system requirements and support testing and solution validation.
    • Develop or support training materials, process documentation, and knowledge-transfer activities to improve user adoption and consistent tool usage.
    • Support the development, deployment, and improvement of Power BI dashboards and related analytics.
    • Serve as a subject matter resource for Requirements Management, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP-related tools, data quality, and process alignment.
    • Participate in engineering transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Evaluate opportunities involving AI, engineering efficiency, and future tool enhancements.
    • Coordinate priorities and activities across multiple engineering, IT, vendor, and functional teams.
    • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining progress against agreed deliverables.
    Required Qualifications
    • 5+ years of professional experience in engineering software tools, business process improvement, requirements management, APQP, FMEA, control plans, quality management, product development processes, data analytics, or related technical/business systems.
    • Experience working with cross-functional business teams, IT organizations, software vendors, and end users.
    • Experience supporting business systems, issue resolution, user adoption, requirements documentation, testing, release support, data quality, or process improvement.
    • Ability to document requirements, support testing, develop training materials, communicate project status, and manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes, risks, improvement opportunities, and practical solutions.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and end users.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science is highly recommended.
    • Experience with enterprise engineering or product-development tools supporting Requirements Management, DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, or Control Plans.
    • Experience supporting Power BI dashboards and analytics.
    • Experience participating in engineering transformation, tool governance, software migrations, upgrades, or enterprise process improvement initiatives.
    • Experience evaluating AI or other emerging technologies for engineering process efficiency.
    Work Requirements
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional project environment and coordinate with engineering, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage concurrent activities and adapt to changing priorities.
