Ascension Seton Women's Hospital has it's own Women's Emergency Department that consists of 14 beds. That team sees Obstetrical patients but also caters to women seeking emergency care that fit a specific criteria. We see mainly Client 3/4/5 patients and collaborate closely with the main emergency department to provide full scope care. The role of this nurse would be to care for the non-OB patients that present to this ER, function in triage, and help clinically around the unit. The Main ED unit description is listed below:This is a 30 bed Emergency Department, operating within an over 400 bed hospital. Site accreditations and specialty care including JCAHO Primary Heart Attack Center (STEMI Receiving), DNV Primary Stroke Center Plus, Level IV Trauma Center. The site is also certified in ECMO, LVAD and advanced heart failure, Maternal Fetal Level IV and a Level III NICU.Women's Services Description:A Level IV Maternal Designation facility and academic teaching service as well as large private OB practices. High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing over 500+ deliveries per month with 24 hour in-house Attending OB coverage, anesthesia coverage and NICU coverage.
