Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract, day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), rotating weekends, no on-call requirements

Highlights:

• Work in a high-volume Emergency Department with 48 private rooms, fast track, and behavioral health units
• Patient ratios of 1:4 ED, 1:5 behavioral health, 1:3 cardiac/trauma
• Collaborative team environment with 111+ staff members including dedicated charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, and support staff
• MEDITECH EMR system with Alaris pumps and Stryker equipment
• Perform diverse procedures including trauma assists, central lines, airway support, splinting, and behavioral health de-escalation
• Active unit-based council and social committee fostering a supportive workplace culture

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Emergency room nursing experience required
• MEDITECH experience preferred
• Trauma and inpatient holding experience highly preferred
• CPI certification a plus
• Navy blue scrubs required
