    Description

    Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system. Develops functional requirements. Understands and applies standard engineering principles. Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates. Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product. Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes. Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.

    Engineer will be assigned to manage capital projects at our Hydro facilities in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Some travel is anticipated to the Hydro plants to efficiently plan and execute work scope. Office locations available in Minneapolis, MN and/or Eau Claire, WI when not working at Hydro facility. Some limited remote work allowed (less than 20%) depending on project status and as preapproved by manager.

    Qualifications & Skills
    Required: Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical Controls, or Civil/Structural) from
    ABET-accredited university; valid driver's license; strong communication, accountability,
    ability to work independently; Microsoft Office proficiency.
    Preferred: FE/EIT certification; PE license a plus; PMP certification or project
    management experience; SAP (work management), scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or
    MS Project), Bluebeam experience.
    Experience: Minimum 2 years engineering experience; hydro or industrial experience
    strongly preferred; hydro familiarity (6+ months) is a plus.
    Work Hours
    Standard 40-hour week (typical: 7:003:30 or 7:304:00).
    Limited overtime during outages/construction season.
