Donor Communications Officer-Intermediate, Digital and Social Media Marketer

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Philanthropy team in the role of Donor Communications Officer-Intermediate, Digital and Social Media Marketer.

The Donor Communications Officer - Intermediate, Digital and Social Media Marketing supports the Foundation's digital strategy to increase donor engagement and philanthropic revenue. The role executes and manages key digital channels-including email, website content, SEO/SEM, social media, and analytics-to strengthen awareness, improve conversion, and support donor retention.

Working under senior marketing guidance, this position partners with Foundation teams, IU Health Marketing, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support integrated campaigns, maintain brand consistency, and track performance.

This role creates and delivers compelling digital content that advances the Foundation's mission, elevates donor and patient stories, and fosters authentic connection. Responsibilities include planning, writing, and managing daily social media content aligned with IU Health's voice, while ensuring accuracy, privacy, and responsible storytelling. The role also coordinates cross-channel content, maintains an editorial calendar, and aligns storytelling with philanthropic priorities.

Using performance data and platform insights, the position refines content strategies to grow reach and engagement. By monitoring conversations and amplifying meaningful stories of generosity and care, the role strengthens the Foundation's digital presence and inspires trust, connection, and philanthropic action.

Additionally, the role supports the planning, production, and management of video and photography assets used in storytelling and fundraising efforts.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Director-Donor Communications and Annual Fund

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.

  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Requires working knowledge of fundraising software (i.e. Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).

  • Requires proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment is preferred.
