Director of Business Development – Healthcare RCM / Technology

    Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to drive new client acquisition for a growing healthcare services organization.

This is a true hunter/closer role focused on identifying, developing, and closing new business—not maintaining an existing book of accounts or relying primarily on referral relationships.

The ideal candidate has a successful track record selling RCM, medical billing, EHR/EMR, healthcare technology, or related healthcare solutions and is comfortable selling directly to CEOs, owners, CFOs, and other senior decision-makers.

The primary growth focus will be the East Coast, although this individual will have the ability to develop business nationally.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a strategic new-business development plan across assigned markets and territories.
    • Prospect and create opportunities from the ground up through outbound business development.
    • Identify and engage healthcare organizations that would benefit from RCM, billing, or related healthcare solutions.
    • Build relationships directly with CEOs, owners, CFOs, and senior operational and financial leaders.
    • Manage the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting and discovery through presentation, negotiation, and close.
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
    • Leverage industry knowledge and professional relationships to open doors while continuing to develop new accounts independently.
    • Navigate complex and sophisticated B2B healthcare sales cycles.
    • Clearly communicate value propositions based on a prospective client's operational and financial needs.
    • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales progress.
    • Partner with internal leadership and operational teams throughout the sales process.
    • Remain focused and resilient in a high-volume business development environment, quickly qualifying opportunities and prioritizing those with the strongest potential.

    Ideal Candidate

    • Proven track record of B2B healthcare sales and new-logo acquisition.
    • Demonstrated ability to generate business through proactive prospecting rather than relying solely on inbound leads or referrals.
    • Experience selling RCM, medical billing, EHR/EMR, healthcare technology, healthcare SaaS, or related solutions.
    • Documented history of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
    • Experience closing larger, more sophisticated healthcare accounts.
    • Comfortable selling directly to executive-level decision-makers.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, revenue cycle challenges, and/or healthcare technology.
    • Established professional network and credibility within the healthcare industry.
    • East Coast healthcare network strongly preferred.
    • Behavioral health or substance use treatment industry experience is a plus, but not required.
    • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
    • Self-directed, persistent, and comfortable building a territory rather than inheriting an established book of business.

    Location & Travel

Candidates based in South Florida should be comfortable spending time in the Fort Lauderdale office.

Remote candidates outside South Florida may also be considered based on their industry experience, territory coverage, network, and demonstrated sales performance.

Some travel should be expected for client meetings, conferences, networking, and business development activities.

    Compensation

The anticipated base salary range is approximately $150,000–$175,000, depending on experience and demonstrated sales performance, with additional commission/incentive compensation.

Final compensation and incentive structure will be discussed during the interview process.
