Responsibilities:

This position supports an entire department/unit and reports to Director-level leadership. The role is responsible for a variety of administrative and patient-facing duties, including file maintenance, photocopying, mail distribution, and other routine office functions. Serves as a primary point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting and assisting individuals both in person and over the telephone while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional, personable demeanor.

Key responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, managing incoming/outgoing phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate individuals or departments, assisting visitors, and coordinating meetings as needed. The position also supports patient access and care coordination activities, including obtaining insurance authorizations, working referral work queues, and ensuring timely follow-up on patient referrals. Accurate computer and data entry skills are required, along with experience utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for patient scheduling, documentation, and workflow management.

Qualifications: Education
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Work Experience
  • 1 year of administrative/clerical experience Required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software programs utilized within the department Required
  • 1 year Knowledge of secretarial and office administrative procedures, including the use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through at least of related experience Required
