    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Housing Compliance Data Analyst to support the accuracy, integrity, reporting, and day-to-day administration of affordable-housing management and HUD compliance systems.

    This position will work extensively with Yardi and HUD-related systems and reporting tools, including PIC, EIV, SEMAP, VMS, and other affordable-housing program databases. The Analyst will monitor data quality, identify and correct discrepancies, generate compliance and operational reports, support system users, and help ensure accurate reporting across housing programs.

    The ideal candidate has experience working with affordable housing, Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), Section 8, Public Housing, RAD, PBV, VASH, or other HUD-funded programs, along with strong analytical, reporting, database, and Microsoft Excel skills.

    This position reports to the Operations Compliance Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

    Yardi & Housing Management Systems

    • Support the daily use, administration, and maintenance of data within Yardi and related housing-management systems.
    • Monitor system data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
    • Assist with establishing and maintaining data-management standards, procedures, and best practices.
    • Develop and run reports designed to identify data discrepancies, missing information, and compliance concerns.
    • Assist departments with system-related questions and data issues.
    • Ensure applicable databases and system records remain current and accurate.
    • Support system access administration, including required user-access forms, approvals, and documentation.
    • Coordinate system training and user support for employees and approved vendors.
    • Assist with implementation of system enhancements, process improvements, and reporting solutions.

    HUD Systems & Compliance Data

    • Perform periodic validation and reconciliation of information between Yardi and HUD systems.
    • Review and validate information maintained in systems such as:
      • PIC
      • EIV
      • SEMAP
      • VMS
      • Other applicable HUD reporting and compliance systems
    • Identify discrepancies between internal management-system records and HUD system data.
    • Research errors and coordinate corrective actions with appropriate departments.
    • Correct and monitor PIC errors and follow up on outstanding corrections.
    • Run and process required PIC reports.
    • Run monthly EIV reports and distribute findings to appropriate compliance personnel for review and correction.
    • Monitor required EIV user documentation and system-access approvals.
    • Track and research EIV-related discrepancies, including unreported income and potentially fraudulent payments.
    • Ensure required system information is entered and maintained accurately.

    Affordable Housing Program Reporting

    • Monitor and report data associated with affordable-housing programs, including:
      • Public Housing
      • Housing Choice Voucher (HCV)
      • Section 8
      • RAD
      • Project-Based Voucher (PBV)
      • VASH
      • Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS)
      • Other applicable affordable-housing programs
    • Track over-income households and other program-specific compliance indicators.
    • Track Family Self-Sufficiency program information and prepare required reports.
    • Assist with SEMAP reporting, trend analysis, quarterly reporting, and annual reporting.
    • Support monthly program-management performance reviews.
    • Develop reports and summaries used to evaluate program performance and data integrity.

    Data Analysis & Reporting

    • Analyze housing and program data to identify trends, discrepancies, exceptions, and compliance risks.
    • Develop recurring and ad hoc reports for management and operational departments.
    • Assist with the development and maintenance of databases used for:
      • Budget tracking
      • Interim reporting
      • Asset information
      • Program performance
      • Compliance monitoring
    • Create queries and reports that support program oversight and management decision-making.
    • Assist with periodic data-quality reviews and system audits.
    • Develop trend analyses and performance summaries for management.
    • Recommend improvements to data collection, reporting, validation, and system processes.

    Project & Operational Support

    • Assist with departmental projects involving housing systems, compliance data, and process improvement.
    • Define project requirements, priorities, timelines, reporting needs, and deliverables.
    • Attend project and operational meetings and provide status updates.
    • Research and respond to questions related to system data and project initiatives.
    • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve data and reporting issues.
    • Maintain complete documentation related to projects, reporting activities, and corrective actions.
    • Assist with strategic planning related to housing-management systems and data integrity.
    • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, Public Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience involving affordable-housing systems, data management, compliance reporting, database administration, business systems, or related analytical work.
    • Strong experience working with computerized databases, management information systems, or enterprise software.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Strong data-analysis and reconciliation skills.
    • Ability to develop, run, review, and interpret reports.
    • Ability to identify inconsistencies between multiple systems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and priorities.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Hands-on experience with Yardi.
    • Experience with Yardi Affordable Housing, Yardi Voyager, or similar property-management platforms.
    • Experience working with HUD affordable-housing programs.
    • Experience with PIC and EIV.
    • Knowledge of SEMAP and VMS reporting.
    • Housing Choice Voucher / Section 8 experience.
    • Public Housing experience.
    • Experience with RAD, PBV, VASH, or Family Self-Sufficiency programs.
    • Experience conducting HUD compliance reporting or data validation.
    • Experience developing queries, dashboards, or management reports.
    • Experience working for a housing authority, affordable-housing organization, property-management organization, or HUD-funded program.
