Location: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid
Work Arrangement: Onsite 3+ days/week
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect / Data Modeler with 10+ years of experience in data architecture and modeling, primarily focused on OLTP and transactional systems. The ideal candidate will have expert-level Oracle skills, strong normalization expertise, Python experience, and telecom/wireless domain knowledge.
Design and maintain logical and physical data models for large-scale transactional systems.
Define data domains, naming standards, and modeling best practices.
Perform forward/reverse engineering, Complete Compare, and Mart-based version control.
Design highly normalized 3NF OLTP models and determine when denormalization is appropriate.
Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL for high-volume transactional workloads.
Use Python for data automation and manipulation.
Conduct requirements sessions with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical specifications.
Support schema scalability, performance, replication, and version-control strategies.
Hands-on experience modeling data related to:
Subscriber and account lifecycle, including account hierarchies and multi-line accounts.
Product catalogs, offers, rate plans, features, entitlements, and eligibility rules.
Order management, activation, and provisioning.
Device/equipment data and device financing or installment plans.
MSISDN, IMSI, ICCID/SIM, and IMEI lifecycle management.
Number portability, including port-in and port-out.
BSS/OSS system landscapes.
10+ years in Data Architecture/Data Modeling.
Strong majority of experience with OLTP/transactional systems.
Current hands-on Data Modeling expertise.
Expert-level Oracle and PL/SQL, including performance tuning.
Strong 3NF normalization and OLTP schema design.
Python for automation and data manipulation.
Strong stakeholder and requirements-gathering skills.
Telecom, wireless, or mobile domain experience.
TM Forum SID or equivalent telecom canonical data models.
Experience with Amdocs, Netcracker, Ericsson, CSG, or similar BSS platforms.
Oracle Exadata.
Oracle GoldenGate or comparable replication technologies.
Supertype/subtype and temporal/history modeling.
Schema change automation and version control.
Capacity planning and scalability modeling for high-volume transactional systems.
