Customer Account Specialist

Are you highly detail-oriented and enjoy working with data, systems, and processes? Our client is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to join their team in Indianapolis. This is an urgent hiring need and an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a structured environment, enjoy solving problems, and can maintain accuracy while handling high-volume, repetitive tasks.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Work Arrangement: Onsite training, then hybrid schedule of 3 days remote and 2 days onsite
Pay: $21-$23/hour
Duration: Minimum 6-month contract with potential for extension and permanent hire
What You'll Do
Enter and upload customer invoice data into electronic payment portals with a high degree of accuracy
Review invoices and match information against customer purchase orders
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, exceptions, and rejected submissions
Partner with internal account managers to address invoicing issues
Monitor customer payment portals and maintain detailed records of invoice activity
Assist customers with account setup and navigation of invoicing systems
Support account research and reconciliation activities
Generate reports and provide administrative support as needed
Deliver exceptional customer service while managing a high volume of transactions
Contribute to process improvements and special projects
What We're Looking For
4+ years of experience in a corporate environment
Experience in customer service, administrative support, data entry, account support, or a similar role
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies
Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a repetitive, process-driven environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
