Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth within the Cloud & Service Provider (C&SP) segment in the United States.

This role is responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, driving specification and project wins, and collaborating across Schneider Electric teams to deliver exceptional customer value.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, technical credibility, and a passion for building new business in fast-growing markets such as data centers, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, and critical power applications.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for the Cloud & Service Provider segment.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with hyperscalers , colocation providers, telecommunications companies, engineering firms, contractors, and key industry influencers.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through proactive customer engagement.
  • Drive specification activity and position Schneider Electric solutions early in project lifecycles.
  • Maintain a strong opportunity pipeline and support long-term business growth objectives.

Project Leadership

  • Support customers throughout the project lifecycle, from opportunity identification through delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Translate customer requirements into tailored enclosure and infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage project priorities, risks, and stakeholder expectations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Sales & Channel Development

  • Execute sales and business development initiatives across multiple routes to market.
  • Partner with distributors, system integrators, panel builders, machine builders, contractors, and OEMs to expand market coverage.
  • Support digital and e-commerce growth initiatives.
  • Promote the full value proposition of Schneider Electric's enclosure solutions portfolio.

Technical & Portfolio Advocacy

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for the Universal Enclosures portfolio, including metallic, non-metallic, customized, and application-specific solutions.
  • Deliver customer presentations, technical workshops, and training sessions.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to support customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Gather market feedback and contribute to portfolio evolution and innovation.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor market developments, customer needs, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Analyze competitive activity and identify areas for differentiation.
  • Provide actionable market insights to support strategic decision-making.

Digital Excellence

  • Maintain accurate CRM data and pipeline management practices.
  • Leverage digital tools and analytics to improve customer engagement and forecasting accuracy.
  • Support data-driven sales planning and opportunity management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Schneider Electric sales teams, business units, product management, engineering, marketing, and operations functions.
  • Foster collaboration across the organization to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Business Administration.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Experience

  • 4-8 years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Data centers, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications , or critical infrastructure markets .
  • Industrial, electrical, or technical equipment sales.
  • Business development and account growth.
  • Complex project management in technical environments .
  • Demonstrated success developing new business opportunities and expanding strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong customer-facing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working within matrixed organizations and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of enclosure systems, electrical infrastructure, industrial automation, or related technologies.
  • Ability to engage with technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 188,000 - USD 282,000 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
