Corporate Associate (Investment Funds Regulatory) - D.C.

Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm that’s seeking a skilled associate attorney with 3+ years of experience in asset management regulation to join its Investment Funds Regulatory group.

In This Role, You Will:

• Advise on compliance with the Investment Advisers Act and Investment Company Act

• Counsel investment advisers, family offices, and global financial institutions

• Support the formation and operation of private equity, hedge, credit, and real estate funds

• Handle matters related to SEC exams, investigations, and enforcement

• Collaborate with white collar teams on complex regulatory issues

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong knowledge of the 1940 Acts (Advisers & Company Acts)

• Prior experience in private fund formation is a plus

• Excellent communication, analytical, and drafting skills

• Prior law firm experience and strong academic record
