This role includes multifaceted roles that involve programming and maintaining degree requirements, evaluating graduation eligibility, certifying degrees, and ensuring NCAA academic eligibility for student-athletes. The incumbent must provide exceptional customer service, collaborate across campus, and uphold academic integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Degree Requirements and Audits:

  • Understand and apply degree requirements and rules.

  • Research, interpret, and apply university, state, and accreditation policies

  • Configure, test, and maintain curriculum/program requirements in the degree audit software.

  • Evaluate degree audits and student records to verify progress toward degree completion and certify degrees earned.

  • NCAA Academic Eligibility Certification:

  • Certify eligibility for student-athletes for NCAA athletics.

  • Monitor student-athletes' degree progress.

  • Collaborate with Athletic Department personnel to communicate eligibility for practice and competition.

  • Attend NCAA rules meetings to stay updated on rule changes and eligibility standards.

  • Generate and validate complex reports required by the NCAA (APR, GSR, etc.)

  • Customer Service and Support:

  • Provide prompt, reliable, and friendly service to students and advisors.

  • Assist with graduation applications, evaluation, certification processes, and best practices for using the degree audit system.

  • Support students and constituents via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.

  • Training and Outreach:

  • Support outreach efforts to increase utilization of degree audit and planning products.

  • Assist with training the campus community on products, policies, and procedures.

  • Update and distribute training materials and provide live training as needed.

  • Data Management and Reporting:

  • Report on software efficiency, resolve issues, recommend system updates and ensure data systems are accurate.

  • Collaboration and Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with campus partners and constituents (including but not limited to students, deans, faculty, advisors, Athletic Department staff, etc.)

Collective Duties:

  • Project Management:

  • Manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Monitor workflow and provide recommendations to ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Compliance and Privacy:

  • Abide by FERPA policies.

  • Maintain an open feedback loop with other Office of the Registrar managers and team leads.

  • Seek new technologies/processes for continual improvement of services.

  • Coverage and Representation:

  • Provide coverage for office services as needed.

  • Act as the University's representative when contacting other departments, outside organizations, and attending professional development training.

  • Other Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), plus one year of directly related experience

Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
