Cook III

Assists Food Service Manager with quantity and quality of food preparation, purchasing and maintaining inventories, and quality and quantity control. Follows recipes and menus; prepares and serves meals to residents and staff; cleans kitchen, equipment, and dining area; maintains sanitation of food storage and preparation surfaces. General direction is received from an Administrative Superior.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in large-scale food preparation.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

The selected candidate for this position MUST:

• Obtain Certification as a Professional Food Manager (in accordance with State of Florida Legislation) within six (6) months of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include:

• One (1) year of experience maintaining records, inventories, and purchase orders.
