The Construction Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the logistics, supply chain, stores management, development and optimization of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the Gigafactory Texas project. The Logistics Coordinator will be required to coordinate the movement of owner furnished equipment and materials to and from the construction site and control site facilities.
Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with internal and external stakeholders on organizing, purchasing, and tracking owner furnished construction materials/equipment
Work closely with corresponding Tesla Procurement - ensuring open communications, and a complete understanding of all internal processes and procedures
Collaborate with Tesla Construction and Procurement teams to identify and mitigate logistics concerns
Perform frequent inventory audits and organize material trackers
Facilitate equipment turnover to contractors for installation as needed to meet project deadlines
2+ years of project experience working in the construction industry required
EIT certification preferred
Experience with large manufacturing facilities construction sites
Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software
Experience and skills of managing consultants and contractors
Experience with long lead and owner purchased material management
