Job Description:
 

• Fully remote candidates accepted - Candidates local to Chicago would be preferred.
• The initial assignment is through the end of the year, but it is expected that once budgets for 2027 are approved, this will extend well into 2027.
• The Contract Content Syndication Specialist will provide dedicated coverage for a defined portfolio of retailer digital shelves. The role will manage and syndicate product content to Amazon, Costco, Kroger, Albertsons, Ahold, and Wakefern using Salsify and Syndigo, helping ensure content is complete, accurate, and published on time.
• This is an execution-focused role requiring strong attention to detail, comfort working with large data sets, and the ability to manage multiple retailer priorities. The contractor will partner closely with internal teams and subject matter experts. Retailer-requirement mapping will be completed with support from the Salsify and Syndigo SMEs rather than independently owned by this role.

 
Client Expectation:
 

• Candidates with hands on Salsify experience. [If they don't have Syndigo experience, that is ok. It's easy to learn]
• Candidates local to Chicago will get first preference. Although Client is open to remote candidates anywhere, local candidates who can come into the office twice a week with her team would be ideal.
• MUST have a strong outgoing personally.

 
Key Areas of Responsibility:


Updating and Maintaining Retailer Digital Shelves
 

• Manage day-to-day content syndication for the assigned retailer portfolio: Amazon, Costco, Kroger, Albertsons, Ahold, and Wakefern.
• Partner with customer sales teams and internal stakeholders to help ensure product content is published accurately to retailer websites.
• Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for questions and issues related to the assigned retailer digital shelves.
• Support large content updates, including brand changes, category updates, assortment changes, and testing.
• Investigate and help resolve content discrepancies, escalating platform or requirement questions to the appropriate SME.

 
Formatting, Validating, and Distributing Content
 

• Execute product content setup, validation, transformation, and syndication activities in Salsify and Syndigo.
• Work with Salsify and Syndigo SMEs to understand and apply retailer requirements. The SMEs will support the technical mapping of retailer requirements within each platform.
• Manage new product setup and content update requests for assigned retailers.
• Validate that required content and data are complete before submission.
• Syndicate product content and data to retailer digital shelves on time and in full.

 
Content Auditing, Tracking, and Issue Management
 

• Perform data quality checks to confirm content has been loaded correctly in syndication systems and appears accurately on retailer sites.
• Maintain clear tracking of submissions, publication status, open issues, and retailer follow-up.
• Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and unresolved issues clearly and promptly.

 
Technology and Ways of Working
 

• Navigate Salsify, Syndigo, and applicable retailer portals to complete product content setup and maintenance activities.
• Work effectively within established processes, documentation, and prioritization set by the Content Operations team.
• Collaborate with platform SMEs when retailer requirements, technical mapping, or platform configuration support is needed.
• Manage work independently while maintaining consistent communication with the broader team.

 
Qualifications:

 

• 2+ years of professional experience in consumer-packaged goods, retail, digital commerce, product content, or data management preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Salsify and/or Syndigo strongly preferred; experience working across both platforms is a plus.
• Experience managing product content, large data sets, or retailer item setup activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data or content discrepancies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests, meet deadlines, and raise risks or dependencies early.
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
• Solution-oriented working style, accountability, and a strong team mindset.

 
Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $48-$52 per hour.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include [geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate].
