Compensation Manager

A repeat client of ours is looking for a Compensation Manager. Ideally 5+ years of experience supporting sales compensation within software.

Job Description

Own compensation benchmarking and market pricing across Sales and Revenue functions.

Develop and maintain competitive On-Target Earnings (OTE) frameworks, salary ranges, and pay structures.

Define and evaluate pay mix strategies and compensation guardrails aligned with company philosophy.

Ensure internal equity across roles, levels, regions, and business segments.

Partner closely with Revenue Operations to assess OTE positioning and compensation competitiveness.

Support annual compensation planning processes, including merit increases, promotions, and new role creation.

Develop compensation models and analyses to support organizational growth and workforce planning.

Maintain compensation governance, documentation, and policy standards.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and executive leadership on compensation-related initiatives.

Present compensation insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility.

The Successful Applicant

5+ years of Compensation, Total Rewards, or Compensation Consulting experience.

Demonstrated experience supporting Sales organizations within SaaS, technology, or other high-growth environments.

Deep knowledge of sales compensation design, including OTE structures, variable compensation plans, and pay mix methodologies.

Strong compensation benchmarking expertise utilizing tools such as Radford, Mercer, WTW, Pave, or similar market surveys.

Experience developing salary structures, leveling frameworks, and compensation philosophies.

Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, including strong Excel capabilities.

Proven ability to interpret compensation data and provide actionable business recommendations.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to compensation governance, compliance, and internal equity.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
