The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution of internal communications tactics in support of strategies by developing clear, concise, and action-oriented business communications that enable staff understanding, alignment, and execution of organizational priorities. The Communications Specialist works closely with leaders and cross-functional partners to translate organizational decisions, initiatives and changes into accessible internal communications that support a connected and informed employee experience.

We're Looking for You:

The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting internal communications initiatives by coordinating timing, channels, message development, and content planning. This position contributes to internal communications execution by drafting materials, managing workflows, and supporting leaders and teams with communications that clarify expectations, reinforce priorities, and enable staff action.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

  • Manages and implements focused communication tactics in support of internal communications strategies and annual plans.
  • Draft, edit, and produce internal business communications, including leadership updates, briefs, internal announcements, talking points, and operational guidance.
  • Coordinate cross-organizational communications efforts to support timely and accurate execution of initiatives.
  • Provide project management and operational support for internal communications programs, including timelines, workflows, calendars, and shared resources.
  • Support change and transformation communications by preparing materials, gathering inputs, and coordinating with partners.
  • Serve as a liaison between Internal Communications leadership and key partners by consolidating updates and supporting consistent information flow.
  • Support leadership communications by preparing drafts and coordinating supporting materials and logistics.
  • Manage assigned projects and deliverables, with responsibility for meeting defined goals and deadlines.
  • Resolve issues independently within program area and escalate risks as appropriate.
  • May work with vendors or external partners to execute communications deliverables.
  • Occasional travel is required for business meetings and events, trainings, and/or team retreats and meetings.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in internal, corporate, or business communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience writing business-critical communications (e.g., leadership updates, change announcements, operational guidance, executive talking points).
  • Experience coordinating communications for cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing timelines.
  • Experience translating complex organizational decisions into clear, directive communications for internal audiences.
  • Experience cultivating and managing client relationships.
  • Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.
  • Experience writing, editing and proofreading.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting communication and engagement plans or initiatives.
  • Familiarity with internal communication channels, tools, and digital platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and precision.
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed, or decentralized organization.
  • Multilingual or cross-cultural experience appreciated.

Salary Information:

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $60,605 -$90,780. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
