Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Commercial Roofing Sales Rep is responsible for building, managing, and growing relationships with property owners and managers, general contractors, government sectors and developers. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all questions, concerns, and project needs are handled effectively. Using a consultative sales approach, you will develop a deep understanding of each client’s business to enhance overall experience and drive long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Promote commercial roofing services to prospective clients and generate new business opportunities
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profitability
Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients
Coordinate closely with Service and Production teams to ensure seamless communication and timely project handoffs
Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue within existing accounts
Analyze customer and competitor data to inform sales strategy
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients while delivering a high level of customer service
Ensure successful delivery of services aligned with client expectations and project objectives
Attend industry events, trade shows, and vendor meetings to drive business development efforts
Collaborate with internal teams to identify and grow sales opportunities within the assigned territory
Maintain accurate sales activity records, reports, and internal documentation
Partner with Marketing to support lead generation, brand growth, and trade show coordination
Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
3–5 years of construction or commercial roofing sales experience preferred
Proven ability to build trust and develop strong client relationships
Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
Strong time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to visit active jobsites, including climbing ladders as needed
Demonstrated success in sales, customer service, and contract negotiation
Ability to prospect, qualify leads, and close business through in-person, phone, and virtual interactions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage challenging customer situations
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate contract documents and correspondence effectively
Working Conditions This position operates in both office and field environments. The role involves regular exposure to construction sites, including varying weather conditions, noise levels, and typical jobsite hazards such as ladders and materials.
Physical Requirements This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending throughout the day, along with occasional site visits and physical activity consistent with jobsite conditions.
