Commercial Litigation Partner/Senior Attorney

Situation.  Our mid-size law firm cient is seeking an experienced commercial litigation attorney as part of their succession planning. This is a key role for the firm in serving their clients, growing the commercial litigation practice, and potential leadership opportunities

The Role. Our client seeks a partner-level attorney experienced in commercial litigation to represent businesses in matters related to one or more of the practice areas including:

• Commercial Litigation
• Construction Law
• Equipment Leasing & Finance Litigation
• Commercial Real Estate Disputes
• Commercial Creditor Bankruptcy
• General Creditors’ Rights.

Prerequisites for the role.

• Significant experience in developing and serving clients in some mix of the above listed practice areas
• Experience working in a private litigation practice with an understanding of, and prior responsibility for, managing the business aspects of a law practice
• NC Bar license in good standing
• If a properly experienced attorney desires to relocated to Raleigh and able to achieve NC Bar license in a timely manner, the firm is open to considering
• Strong legal analysis and writing skills
• Strong courtroom and negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and work well with others in a team environment

Ideal candidate’s experience will include.

• Demonstrated practice leadership ability, including in the supervision and development of associate attorneys and staff
• Dual licensed in NC and SC (or willingness to obtain SC licensure)
