Overview

PACT seeks mission-driven professionals to serve as clinical supervisors who mentor, observe, and support secondary teacher candidates placed in Catholic schools. This adjunct role plays a vital part in forming new teachers through coaching, evaluation, and ongoing professional formation.

The Providence Alliance for Catholic Teachers (PACT) Program is a two-year, full-time cohort experience for recent college graduates pursuing secondary teaching careers. The program provides comprehensive professional, academic, and spiritual formation while candidates serve as full-time teachers in Catholic schools. PACT is a member of the University Consortium for Catholic Education (UCCE).

Duties and Responsibilities

PACT clinical supervisors guide, coach, and evaluate PACT candidates as part of the Internship courses. Clinical supervisors establish positive working relationships with partner school administrators, complete three formal observations during the semester (observations include the observation, conference, and written feedback), and provide ongoing coaching to candidates. As PACTs eyes in the field, clinical supervisors represent the program and communicate with PACT leadership as needed.

This position includes the following additional expectations as part of the PACT faculty:

  • Participation in faculty meetings, as necessary
  • Participation in ongoing program improvement efforts

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in education
  • Minimum of three years of successful secondary-level teaching experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Catholic school settings and alignment with mission
  • Ability to provide formative, actionable feedback that advances teaching and learning

Supplemental Information

Application review will begin immediately and will continue until an adequate pool is developed. Clinical supervisors must be available during the school day to meet with administrators and conduct observations. In particular, PACT is seeking clinical supervisors to serve in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, VT.

Compensation is based on the number of candidates supervised per semester.

Qualified persons should apply online and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, transcript(s), and three letters of recommendation. Application instructions are available at:
