Clinical Neurodiagnostic Supervisor

Assists Neurology or Neurosurgery faculty in planning for performance of new Clinical Neurophysiology Procedures (CNP) and improvement of current procedures including inpatient extra-cranial and intracranial video EEG monitoring in evaluation of epilepsy and other conditions, functional mapping, and continuous EEG and polygraphic monitoring in neuron-intensive care and other sites. Provides daily workflow direction and supervision of the clinical staff to ensure providers have adequate staffing assistance to accommodate clinic efficiency while also achieving clinic objectives.

Overview

This position will supervise the clinical operations of the Clinical Neurodiagnostic department. Provides daily workflow direction and supervision of the clinical staff to ensure providers have adequate staffing assistance to accommodate clinic efficiency while also achieving clinic objectives. Directly supervises clinical staff including EEG Technologists, Neurodiagnostic Assistants and EEG Monitoring Technicians. As the clinical supervisor acquires talent, develops and trains staff to ensure that employees are competent to perform their required skills and tasks. Ensures that staff training complies with OSHA, Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements. Advises and leads patient care staff with regard to changes in the medical community to ensure best practices and may be responsible for clinical policy/procedure development and implementation. Provides direction and assists with care of the patients in urgent and emergent situations. Other duties include promoting the clinic to providers and community members. Assist in achieving coordination, consistency, and integration in the operation of the clinic site in conjunction with clinic leadership and assists with the development and implementation of required learnings, policies and procedures.

• Continuously builds customer understanding by monitoring patient satisfaction performance and customer feedback
• Continuously implements strategies to improve customer satisfaction
• Assists Neurology or Neurosurgery faculty in planning for performance of new Clinical Neurophysiology Procedures (CNP) and improvement of current procedures including inpatient extra-cranial and intracranial video EEG monitoring in evaluation of epilepsy and other conditions, functional mapping, and continuous EEG and polygraphic monitoring in neuron-intensive care and other sites.
• Assists designated Fairview and UMP staff in preparing business plans and budgets and in performing billing and other administrative procedures related to the department.
• Coordinates and oversees the EEG Technologist Training program in compliance with ABRET requirements to maintain a recognized program.
• Teaches techniques of signal acquisition and analysis of EEG technologists and other UMP, M Health Fairview and University of Minnesota staff and trainees.
• Assists faculty in planning courses and other educational activities related to CNP.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited EEG or Polysomnography training program
• Combination Education & Experience equivalent to training program (with documented proficiency)
• 6 years of previous EEG experience
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
• Abret-Electroencephalographic R EEG T Certification

 

Qualifications: $85,737.60- $121,035.20 Annual
