    Description

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Assist the Project Administrator in the administration of FDOT transportation construction projects.
    • Support the coordination of construction activities between field staff, contractors, consultants, and FDOT personnel.
    • Assist with project documentation, construction records, and contract administration.
    • Support the preparation of progress estimates and final estimates.
    • Monitor project documentation for completeness and accuracy.
    • Maintain organized project files and assist with reporting requirements.
    • Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience

    Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

    • One (1) year of engineering experience on relevant transportation projects; or
    • Six (6) years of responsible roadway, bridge, CEI, or related construction experience, including at least two (2) years on transportation construction projects.

    Required Certifications

    Candidates should possess, or be able to obtain within six (6) months of hire through an approved training plan:

    • FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
      • Candidates currently holding FDOT Intermediate MOT may obtain Advanced MOT within six (6) months.
    • CTQP Final Estimates Level II

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Working knowledge of FDOT construction procedures and documentation is preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software is a plus.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and assist with project administration throughout the construction process.
