About For All Families Oregon (FAFO):

FAFO is part of three affiliated organizations that center caregiving, amplify the voices of moms and caregivers, pass policies, and elect candidates who fight for our families to create more racial, gender, and economic justice.

We envision Oregon as a place where the unpaid and underpaid labor of caregiving is seen and valued, and the intersectional needs of caregivers are brought to the forefront of our societal systems, through the fulfillment of their importance, agency, and power.

The collective work of our three affiliated organizations centers care and caregiving, amplifies the voices of moms and caregivers, passes policies, and elects candidates who fight for our families, as we create more racial, gender, and economic justice.

For All Families Oregon (FAFO)

We work collectively to educate and advocate for systems that elevate the vital work of care and caregiving in its many forms within our community.

For All Families Oregon Action (FAFOA)

We build the collective power of mothers and caregivers to actualize their agency to fight for racial, gender, economic, and reproductive equity.

The Mother PAC

The Mother PAC is a grassroots political action committee that works to endorse and elect more champions for care work in Oregon, especially those who identify as moms and caregivers and/or Black, Indigenous, and people of color.

About this Role

FAFO is a feminist organization committed to racial, gender, and economic justice. The Campaigns Communication Manager plays a critical role in amplifying the work of our Movement Building Team across legislative, organizing and base-building, and political campaigns. Reporting to the Deputy Director and working in close partnership with the Director of Movement Building and the Regional Organizing Manager, this role will translate campaign strategy, volunteer leadership, and policy wins into compelling stories, narratives, and messages that move people to action.

The Campaigns Communication Manager will ground every aspect of the work in a race and gender justice framework, centering the voices of mamas, caregivers, and the communities most impacted by the issues we organize around. This role is responsible for ensuring our communications build power, not just visibility; weaving campaign goals with the lived experiences of the volunteer leaders and members at the center of our work.

In this role, you will develop and execute communications strategy for active campaigns and organizational priorities, lead rapid response and media engagement, support spokesperson development for volunteer leaders and staff, and collaborate across the Movement Building Team to ensure organizing, policy, and political work is amplified through consistent, strategic, and values-driven messaging. You will also work closely with partner organizations and coalitions to align messaging and maximize collective impact.

You are right for this role if you are a sharp writer and strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of communications and movement-building. If you have a passion for racial, gender, and economic justice, experience translating complex policy and political campaigns into compelling public narratives, and a deep commitment to centering the voices of mamas, caregivers, and impacted communities, we are eager to meet you.
