POSITION OVERVIEWThe Assistant Buyer Home supports the Buying Managers across all Home categories. This role is responsible for purchase order execution product data accuracy vendor coordination reporting & data analysis. The Assistant Buying role supports the development and execution of seasonal assortments across Home categories partnering cross-functionally to drive sales optimize inventory and uphold the brands elevated aesthetic across all channels. This role is responsible for managing product lifecycle process ensuring operational excellence and a seamless customer experience both in-store and online. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESBuying Management Support the development of seasonal assortments and investment strategies across Home categoriesAssist in buying order management and performance trackingMonitor sales inventory and margin performance to identify risks and opportunitiesExecute markdowns and price changes in alignment with business strategyReporting & Business Analysis Prepare and support Weekly Business Review presentations across all channels and categories delivering insights on sales performance and business needsAnalyze monthly store and category trends to inform merchandising strategies and inventory allocation on monthly store calls with managementIdentify opportunities to improve productivity and sell-throughEcommerce & Site Merchandising Conduct regular site audits to ensure accuracy in pricing product details imagery and assortment visibilityMaintain product data integrity within internal systems ensuring SKUs are correctly attributed and aligned to collectionsManage digital assortment to ensure product is accurately represented and optimized for conversionCross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Merchandising Operations and Brand Image teams to ensure timely product setup photography and launch readinessCollaborate with Brand Marketing to align product availability with campaign timing ensuring adequate inventory for key initiativesStore Support & Execution Conduct store visits to evaluate merchandising execution inventory needs and customer experienceSupport floor sets and room change from planning through installation including system entry and coordination with stores EXPERIENCE SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE1-3 years of experience in buying merchandising or product coordination preferredExperience in home furnishings or luxury retail strongly preferredStrong attention to detail and reliable reporting and data managementAdvanced Excel and retail math skillsAbility to balance multiple priorities and urgent follow‑upsClear written and verbal communication with vendors and partnersCollaborative organized and solutions‑orientedBasic understanding of the product lifecycleSystems and tools GFE Island Pacific Microstrategy SAP Product Data HubInterest in product craftsmanship and the home furnishings market Ralph Lauren will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records in a manner consistent with the requirements of the law including any applicable fair chance laws.
