About the Role:Terry's Grill in Jacksonville, FL is looking for an experienced and driven BOH Kitchen Manager to lead our morning operations as an Opener (4:30 AM – 2:00 PM). If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a passion for running a tight, efficient back-of-house, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:- Open the kitchen and ensure all BOH operations are ready for service by established prep times
- Oversee and direct kitchen staff during the morning and midday shifts
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency across all menu items
- Manage food prep, inventory, and ordering to minimize waste and control costs
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance standards
- Train, coach, and motivate line cooks and prep staff
- Coordinate with FOH management to ensure smooth, timely service
- Perform line checks and equipment inspections at the start of each shift
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or BOH Supervisor in a restaurant environment
- Must be available to work the opener shift: 4:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Strong knowledge of food prep, kitchen operations, and line management
- Experience with inventory management, food costing, and ordering
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety knowledge preferred
- Ability to lead a team with a calm, organized, and hands-on management style
- Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in an early-morning, high-energy environment
