WHAT MAKES VOA SPECIAL? VOAC recognizes the unique needs of the older adult who needs a wheelchair ramp to stay at home safely, and the preschooler whose family needs additional resources. VOAC supports veteran's efforts to exit homelessness as well as provides a safe place for survivors of domestic violence. Wherever VOAC goes, it combines relationship-building, volunteers and quality services to lift and support our neighbor's efforts to become self-sufficient and reach their full potential.
The Behavioral Health Clinician will serve as a multidisciplinary behavioral health resource across multiple VOA Colorado programs, functioning as a mobile behavioral health team member who provides clinical support wherever needs arise. This position requires a Colorado behavioral health license or eligible associate-level license and will deliver crisis response, behavioral health assessments, brief interventions, risk evaluations, stabilization services, and coordination of referrals to appropriate levels of care. The clinician will work with a diverse range of populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, justice involvement, behavioral health challenges, housing instability, and other complex social needs. Based in the Denver Metro area, this position will primarily support programs in Denver while providing travel to other Colorado regions as needed to respond to program and participant needs. The role will collaborate closely with program staff to enhance behavioral health services, strengthen crisis resolution efforts, improve access to care, and promote positive outcomes across VOA Colorado's continuum of services.
