WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK HERE

Jack's Pumpkin Pop Up is a live seasonal event, which means every shift can be different.

Expect busy nights, large crowds, music, attractions, food and beverage service and a lot happening at once.

You may start a shift in 1 area and be asked to help somewhere else when the event gets busy.

We are looking for people who enjoy that kind of environment.

This is a good fit for someone who would rather be moving, interacting with people and working as part of a big event team than standing around waiting for something to happen.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You do not need to have worked at a festival or pop up before to be a strong candidate for many of our positions.

Relevant experience in restaurants, bars, nightclubs, concerts, festivals, attractions, retail, hospitality, entertainment, customer service or other high volume environments is a plus.

More importantly, we are looking for people who:

Show up on time and are ready to work.

Are comfortable around large crowds and high guest volume.

Can stay friendly and composed when things get busy.

Have the confidence to interact with guests rather than waiting to be approached.

Can follow instructions and established safety procedures.

Pay attention to details while still working quickly.

Are willing to jump in and help outside their immediate station when needed.

Communicate clearly with other team members and supervisors.

Can work independently when assigned a station or responsibility.

Are comfortable standing and walking for extended periods during a shift.

Are comfortable working outdoors in changing fall weather when assigned to an outdoor position.

Can maintain a clean, organized and guest ready work area.

Are comfortable learning POS, ticket scanning or other event systems required for their position.

Have flexible seasonal availability, particularly during evenings and weekends.

Can handle the reality of live events, including changing guest volume, changing priorities and unexpected situations.

Bring a positive attitude and good energy to the event.
