Attorney Practice Coordinator (Legal Secretary)
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite per week)
Compensation: $90,000 - $113,000 per hour + discretionary annual bonus
A respected international law firm is seeking an Attorney Practice Coordinator (Legal Secretary) to support a busy litigation practice. This role provides high-level administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys and requires strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Coordinate attorney support requests with internal teams and shared services.
Manage court deadlines, calendaring, and case-related administrative tasks.
Prepare, proofread, and finalize legal documents for filing and service.
E-file documents in state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
Create and update case files and document management systems.
Prepare Tables of Contents (TOCs) and Tables of Authorities (TOAs).
Maintain client, matter, and attorney records.
Assist with document production, transcription coordination, and other litigation support activities.
Review and process billing-related materials as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience.
Strong knowledge of California and federal court filing procedures, including e-filing and ECF.
Advanced experience preparing TOCs and TOAs using Best Authority.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.
Experience supporting multiple attorneys and managing competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
