What You Can Expect

The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) is responsible for attaining direct sales goals and objectives through the creation and execution of a sales plan in the assigned territory.

  • This position requires living within assigned territory.
  • This position operates from employee's home office. Additionally, employees are routinely required to be present in hospital environments, including operating rooms during surgeries.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with individuals internal and external to the organization.
  • The employee frequently is required to move about the facility.
  • The employee may be required to lift up-to 50 lbs. by themselves.
  • This is a full-time position; it will require weekend, evening, and holiday work as surgeries require on an emergency basis.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Builds and maintains customer relationships, while able to cover orthopedic procedures with clinical proficiency and business acumen.
  • Must develop and maintain expertise regarding total product line
  • Educates and informs sales representatives, doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel as to the availability of and the proper use and maintenance of P28 products
  • Prepares detailed weekly and monthly reports of business transactions/interactions.
  • Builds and implements sales plans for the assigned territory, manages and tracks customer sales activity and prospective customer initiatives, achieves sales quotas, reports on sales progress and competitor customer activities to sales leaders.
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customer into P28's delegated systems.
  • Facilitates on-time delivery of products to customers.
  • Responsible for territory case coverage.
  • Managing and maintaining a sample inventory of products
  • Solves product problems for customers in an expeditious fashion
  • Travels to and attends trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings.
  • Plans, coordinates and executes local educational and sales events, with the support of internal resources, intended to augment the business.
  • Coordinates customer training.
  • Aggressively solicit orders from present and prospective customers for the products assigned.
  • Strictly adheres to all laws and Paragon 28 policies regarding the interaction with Health Care Professionals, product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and training.
  • Keeps respective Direct Sales Representative informed of territory progress on a regular basis.
  • Directs product evaluations in OR and office settings.
  • Responsible for successful completion of sales training.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; may consider commensurate experience in lieu of education.
  • Prior orthopedic sales experience preferred; and/or ability to learn and understand orthopedic concepts quickly
  • Strong sales aptitude
  • Strong work ethic and communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy; position requires use of own vehicle with potential for driving up to 40K miles/year, depending on territory.
  • Able to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction when outside of clinical events
  • Residence within the geographical contracted territory of business is required, unless prior approval granted by the Executive VP of Sales and/or CEO.

Travel Expectations

20% overnight travel. Required to attend national meetings, district meetings and other training as requested.

Compensation Data

This position offers a fixed, guaranteed base salary of $70,304 annually ($5,858.67 per month). This base salary is paid semi-monthly, is completely non-recoverable, and satisfies California''s minimum salary requirements for exempt roles. Commissions earned during the performance period are applied against the monthly base salary advance. If earned commissions exceed $5,858.67 in a month, the employee receives the excess commission amount as a bonus payout. If earned commissions fall below the monthly base salary, the employee still retains the full guaranteed base salary. Deficits cannot be rolled backward into a debt or clawed back below the legal salary threshold.
