About the Role

The Company is in search of an Associate General Counsel with a focus on labor and employment law. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice to leaders, examining facts, identifying legal risks, and recommending practical business solutions. This role involves monitoring legal matters for compliance, simplifying legal communications, and working with various departments to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations. The Associate General Counsel will also be involved in drafting and negotiating a variety of business contracts, as well as assisting with the legal aspects of business acquisitions and divestitures.Applicants must have a Doctor of Law degree, be admitted to practice law in Wisconsin, and have a minimum of 6 years' of legal experience, with a preference for those with prior in-house experience. A background in transportation, human resources, finance, accounting, or a heavily regulated industry is also preferred. The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to employer labor experience, be adept at anticipating and mitigating legal risks, and have the ability to engage with executive and senior leadership in legal matters.
