Job Summary
A respected legal services firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice on a direct hire basis. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience who is ready to take on meaningful case responsibility, work directly with clients, and continue developing strong litigation skills across commercial, business, civil, insurance, property, and contract dispute matters.
The Associate Attorney will work closely with experienced attorneys and legal support professionals in a collaborative environment that values strong legal analysis, practical judgment, professionalism, and teamwork. This role offers supportive leadership, hands-on case involvement, and the opportunity to grow within a positive legal team that encourages ownership, client service, and long-term professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial, business, and civil litigation matters from case intake through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and assist in developing effective litigation strategies.
- Take and defend depositions, prepare clients and witnesses, and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, attorneys, and internal staff.
- Maintain litigation calendars, case deadlines, case files, and overall matter organization.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year.
- Pay is expected to be around $120,000, with flexibility to pay more for the right candidate.
