    A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its First-Party Insurance Litigation Practice in Austin, TX. This position offers a HYBRID schedule and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance litigation attorney who is ready to take ownership of an active docket while still having the support and strategic guidance of seasoned partners and colleagues. The attorney will have primary responsibility for a first-party litigation docket from inception through final resolution, with significant autonomy to develop case strategy, manage client relationships, and handle all phases of litigation.     Position: Associate Attorney – First Party Insurance Practice Group
    Location: Austin, TX
    Schedule: Hybrid – 2 days WFH to start
    Compensation: Base salary up to $190K (DOE) + bonus opportunities

    What You'll Do
    • Take primary responsibility for an active first-party litigation docket from inception through resolution.
    • Receive autonomy to handle your caseload through all phases of litigation while also receiving assistance, support, and strategic guidance from managing partners and other attorneys on the team when needed.
    • Defend first-party bad faith lawsuits involving:
      • Commercial Property, Business Income, and other commercial coverages
      • Residential property
      • Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage
      • Stowers, excess judgment, and other coverage disputes
    • Develop and execute litigation strategy in partnership with sophisticated client representatives from large, national insurance carriers.
    • Build strong client relationships through exceptional communication, responsiveness, and results.

    Qualifications:
    • Active license to practice law in Texas
    • 5+ years of first-party insurance litigation experience, preferably in property coverages
    • Excellent legal research, writing, litigation strategy, and litigation advocacy skills
    • Extensive experience with drafting pleadings, motions, written discovery, and client reporting in insurance disputes
    • Experience with depositions, hearing attendance, settlement discussions, and all other aspects of litigation through final resolution
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • A proactive mindset and the confidence to take lead in your files while also valuing collaboration with you colleagues
