Job Details
The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside the Project Manager and project team to help coordinate and execute commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
This person will serve as an important link between the project management team, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Responsibilities
Assist with the overall management and coordination of commercial construction projects
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Assist with project scheduling and tracking
Monitor project budgets, costs, and commitments
Participate in project meetings and maintain meeting documentation
Assist with subcontractor procurement and coordination
Track project progress and communicate updates to the project team
Identify potential project issues and assist with resolution
Maintain accurate project files and documentation
Coordinate with field teams to ensure work is progressing according to plans and specifications
Assist with project closeout activities
Visit active construction sites as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Commercial construction experience
Knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams
Valid driver's license
