Job Details
The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
The APM will serve as an important connection between the office and field teams, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, clients, and other project stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.
Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of commercial construction projects
Support projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation
Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and other construction documents
Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
Support subcontractor procurement and contract administration
Monitor project schedules and track key milestones
Participate in project and subcontractor meetings
Maintain meeting minutes and follow up on outstanding action items
Work closely with Superintendents and field teams
Assist with resolving project issues and coordinating solutions
Track project progress and communicate updates to the project team
Maintain organized project files and documentation
Assist with owner and client communication
Support punch list, turnover, and closeout activities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
2+ years of commercial construction experience
Experience with commercial construction projects
Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation
Experience coordinating with subcontractors and vendors
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred
Valid driver's license
