Assistant Maintenance Manager

This person will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other departments to minimize downtime, support preventive maintenance, and achieve operational, safety, safety, and compliance objectives. Assistant Maintenance Manager

The Assistant Maintenance Manager provides support to the maintenance department, helping ensure equipment and facility operations remain safe, efficient, and dependable within a fast-paced environment. This person will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other departments to minimize downtime, support preventive maintenance, and achieve operational, safety, safety, and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities:

* Assign and prioritize daily maintenance work, monitor work orders and mechanic utilization, and provide feedback on completed work and equipment downtime

* Oversee preventive maintenance programs, computerized maintenance systems, equipment inspections, recordkeeping, and maintenance reporting

* Coordinate parts purchasing, outside services, and repairs while ensuring accurate documentation and competitive bids

* Ensure maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures, PPE requirements, OSHA, USDA, and GMP standards, including proper sanitation of production equipment



Required Skills & Experience:

* 5+ years of experience working in a meat production facility

* Experience utilizing computer software, including Word and Excel

* Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm

* Previous experience utilizing process improvement initiatives
