Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Position Summary

The North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (NCCPSS) Program is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist for a 1-year TIME-LIMITED position to provide administrative and operational support for the Program's daily activities and deliverables. This position will support workflow, improve administrative efficiency, and help strengthen relationships with partners and stakeholders. The Administrative Support Specialist will work collaboratively with Program staff to ensure activities are organized, timely, and aligned with program priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with training registration, attendance tracking, training materials, evaluations, and other administrative support for training activities.
  • Maintain training schedules, website content, program records, databases, and other documentation to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Support data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting on deliverables.
  • Provide timely, professional, and high-quality customer service to trainers, participants, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with processing certification and recertification applications, as needed.
  • Support the Project Manager and Director with special projects, program initiatives, and other assigned duties.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Management Preferences

  • Experience working with persons with lived experience in Significant Mental Illness (SMI) and substance use disorders
  • Ability to drive in NC
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with data collection and reporting
