Job Specifications

The Water Production & Reclamation Division is seeking a highly organized and dependable professional to lead its administrative operations. The ideal candidate excels at connecting people, processes, and details, and takes genuine pride in supporting a team dedicated to delivering essential services that keep our community thriving. What Youll Do:

  • Provide leadership to the assigned team by setting clear goals, delivering candid and timely performance feedback, and ensuring each team member receives the training and resources needed to succeed.
  • Champion a customer-first culture by modeling truthfulness, composure, and responsiveness, while recognizing employees who go above and beyond for internal and external customers alike.
  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring timely safety training, compliance with all safety requirements, and prompt reporting of incidents and unsafe practices.
  • Demonstrate sound financial stewardship by monitoring the budget, reviewing and approving invoices and purchase orders, and maintaining accurate, transparent financial records.
  • Manage monthly Septage Billing for the division, coordinating with the billing agent and Shift Supervisor to ensure accurate, on-time submission and swift resolution of discrepancies.
  • Oversee purchase card coding and requisition processes, ensuring accuracy, timely submissions, and full compliance with UUPI and City purchasing guidelines.

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business or public administration, or a degree accepted in the field for which the vacancy exists; AND
  • Four (4) years of technical, staff or administrative experience related to the field in which the vacancy exists

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED; AND
  • Eight (8) years of technical, staff or administrative experience related to the field in which the vacancy exists

Necessary Special Requirements

  • For designated positions allocated to this classification, applicants must possess a valid Class E State drivers license.

Salary Range

$25.1538 to $68.2567/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $44.8166/hour.
