The incumbent is responsible for administrative service functions of the Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL). The incumbent will assume operational duties such as incoming checks, maintaining postage records, monitoring permit accounts and postal invoices.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Process and log incoming checks

  • Log and balance daily postage expenses

  • Monitor and analyze USPS permit mail accounts

  • Receive packages and monitor business supplies

  • Provide backup for mailroom staff in processing outgoing and incoming mail as needed

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: This vacancy may be filled as a Probation, Promotion, or Detail to Special Duty. Current classified permanent status employees may be required to accept a Probational Appointment.
