The Administrative Assistant role supports the Public Works Real Estate team, primarily handling administrative and clerical tasks related to encroachment permits, applications, and inspections.
Position is based in Building 23 with a schedule of 8-5 M, W, and F, with flexible hours and some field work involved.
Key duties include maintaining records, updating databases, preparing reports, responding to inquiries, and guiding applicants on permit processes.
Qualifications include proficiency in Microsoft Office, organizational and communication skills, and knowledge of local government codes is a plus.
Requires a high school education plus four years of relevant experience, a valid VA/NC driver’s license, DMV check, and completion of a Defensive Driving Course. Prior real estate experience is preferred but not mandatory.
