Schedule: (Part-Time) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00am to 2:00pm | Wednesday 9:00am to 5:00pm
Are you organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy office environment? Wingate Management Company is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support a HUD affordable housing community in Cambridge, MA
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who has previous exposure to property management, affordable housing, or a residential community setting.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for the property management office, including answering phones, assisting residents, responding to walk-in traffic, filing, scanning, copying, and maintaining organized records.
- Assist the property management team with HUD and affordable housing paperwork, resident files, recertification documentation, and other compliance-related administrative tasks.
- Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, applicants, and team members while providing excellent customer service.
- Help maintain accurate resident information, correspondence, reports, notices, and other property documentation.
- Support the team with data entry, scheduling, invoices, office correspondence, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.
- Stay organized while managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential resident information.
What We're Looking For
- The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, patient, and comfortable interacting with residents from a variety of backgrounds. Previous administrative experience is preferred, and exposure to property management is highly desirable.
- Experience with HUD, Section 8, affordable housing, recertifications, or property management software is a plus, but we encourage candidates with strong administrative skills and an interest in learning affordable housing to apply.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED required
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 1 years' experience providing clerical and administrative support
- Must be proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Be reliable, self-motivated, courteous, patient and compassionate
- Must be detail-oriented, able to work as a team player, and able to prioritize and perform multiple projects
- Must have a good command of the English language, be able to spell and accurately proofread correspondence prior to mailing
- Preferred Languages: Bilingual English and Haitian Creole | Bilingual English and Amharic
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
- Knowledge of property management and affordable housing programs preferred
