Job Title: Administrative Assistant IV / Service Coordinator
Pay: $35.00-$37.14
Hours: Monday Friday, 6:30 AM 3:30 PM
Location: El Cajon, CA 92020 Hybrid (Monday Thursday onsite, Friday remote)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant / Service Coordinator to provide administrative and customer service support for utility service planning operations. This position involves coordinating gas and electric crews, scheduling inspections, responding to customer inquiries and maintaining accurate project documentation.
The ideal candidate has strong customer service experience, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills
Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
Strong technical problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple requests.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Strong typing and general computer skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to coordinate schedules and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Job Description
Provide administrative support to the Service Planning department.
Answer incoming phone calls and emails and respond to customer inquiries.
Provide customers with updates on project status and scheduling.
Coordinate and schedule gas and electric crews for service-related projects.
Schedule trench inspections and communicate appointment details.
Print and organize construction plans, maps and project documentation.
Maintain accurate scheduling records and administrative files.
Assist with technical problem-solving and resolve customer service issues.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely completion of service requests.
Complete special assignments and additional administrative tasks as needed.
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in utility services, construction coordination or service scheduling.
Experience coordinating field crews or managing service appointments.
Familiarity with technical drawings, construction plans or utility maps.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience handling high volumes of customer inquiries and competing priorities.
